Hubertus was born in 1955, the year MOSAIK was first published. As a journalist he visited the then-current MOSAIK editing team for the first time in 1990. Five years later the publishing house released his first ABRAFAXE album "Hollywood Pursuit", originally conceived as a newspaper comic strip. Since then several more comic books written by him have been published, "Kleine Detektive" ('Little Detectives'), "Checkpoint" and "Califax & Congo" amongst others. Besides that, he also writes storylines for the DIE ABRAFAXE series and since December 2000 has been working as an author on the monthly MOSAIK comic. From MOSAIK 310 onwards he has also been alternating with Andreas Schulze in writing short stories published in issues of MOSAIK.
