Jens Fischer was born in 1973 in Kölleda/Thuringia. He has been reading MOSAIK regularly ever since 1985. Between 1989 and 1993, he did an apprenticeship as a communications electronics engineer. Like many fans of popular culture Jens chose the creative way: from fanatic collector to producer of creative works. After his first contact with the Apolda MOSAIK-Club, which was founded in 1988, he drew regular contributions for the "Mosaiker", the fanzine of the Apolda MOSAIK-Club, between 1992 and 1995. He gained fame among fans with his stories in which he told an imaginative version of one of a thousand possibilities of where the Abrafaxe came from and who created them. In 1995, he became an artist at MOSAIK and until January 1999 was a co-author. These days he even gets his own fan mail. He draws all kinds of characters, but actually prefers drawing the bad guys. Alongside Thomas Schiewer, he also draws the Abrafaxe themselves.
