Bild folgt in Kürze Julia Sand was born in 1959 in Aachen. 1981–1989 she went to the HdK (The Berlin University of the Arts) in Berlin. After stays in Vienna and Istanbul she started working as a freelance artist in 1993 and henceforth lives in Berlin. She worked from 1997 to 2008 as a backgroundpainter in numerous cartoonprojects. September 2013 was her time to shine as part of the MOSAIK-team. From that moment on Julia attended to the colour of the MOSAIK. After André Kurzawe roughly pre-defined the individual colour patches, Julia takes them and adds the finishing touches that make MOSAIK so special – gradients, colour moods, patch textures (meadows, rocks, etc.) and shadows.
