Two days ago, we asked on Facebook if someone happened to have experience with the digitization of slides/film because we wanted to display our 3D image disc in an upcoming anthology ...
After many unsuccessful scan and photo tests as well as a surprising number of software hurdles that suddenly opened up, we finally managed to do it ourselves with the help of nearly 15 year old technology!

The moral of the story: Sometimes it is quite convenient not to immediately dispose of all your discarded equipment. They might thank you when you have to wake them from their slumber.
