In Coorperation with the Exploratorium Potsdam a collection of numerous experiments in the scope of physics, mathematics and chemistry lessons was established.
Every experiment has been successfully tried out with students before.
The hardcover book is available for 9,95 Euro, in

| Information about the MOSAIK and it’s making-of is now easily accessable in our beautifully illustrated 25-year jubilee album!
It is the Abrafaxes‘ story. Scarcly anybody knows where they have come from.
They have been travelling the world for a long time now, always looking for new friends and breathtaking adventures.
In regular intervals the Abrafaxe manage to jump in time. So they continously leap into new settings, where they are to experience history, that has been carefully researched to create an authentic and truthful storyline. But nevertheless the creative minds of the autors, the skilled hands and not to forget the support of the readers are making the story ever so much fun and worthwhile.
The Abrafaxes‘ adventures are published in Finland, Poland, Hungary, Netherlands, Austria, India, Greece and Turkey.

| The Abrafaxe take their first steps into publicity on a back cover of the MOSAIK autumn 1975.
Lothar Dräger, the long-term co-author of the MOSAIK, which had been published since 1955, wants to put well-known fun makers like the Harlequin into the centre of the new stories.
As sidekick characters, who will accompany the various heroes, he designs three new gnomes according the editor’s conditions:
They should be smart, yet a little mysterious with a small dust of abracadabra and adventurous spirit surrounding them, as well as they should develop a cheeky charisma intertwining courage, jokes, daringness and a certain clumsiness.
The name Abrafaxe was discovered with Lothar Dräger as its discoverer and as their father in mind.
Their appearance is thereafter created through the hands of the MOSAIK’s artists, everyone by his- or herself.
Lona Rietschel’s designs seemed to have hit the spot and her drafts became the Abrafaxe we now know and love.
With that, She became “the mother of the Abrafaxe”.

| By turn of the year 1975/76 the MOSAIK containing the new heroes hits the market and reaches the subscribers with a print run of 705.000 copies.
Simultaniously a 30.000 copies run of the MOZAIKA is published in hungary.

| The MOSAIK celebrates its 30th jubilee in december 1985.
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
| This year has not been easy for the Abrafaxe and their creators and friends.Because the former editorial department of the MOSAIK, the Junge Welt editorship was liquidated by the trust company and only single titles were still being sold.
The survival of the MOSAIK was severely endangered. But Klaus D. Schleiter and Anne Hauser-Thiele found the MOSAIK editorial department “Steinchen für Steinchen” (“block by block”) and so saved the MOSAIK.

| The MOSAIK tries to root in Russia.
For the first time the Abrafaxe appear in the Ogonyok magazines, to advertise
the MOSAIKA-books of the Ogonyok editorial department.

|
|
| The year of the 40th jubilee of the MOSAIK!
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
| This year was a really productive period for the Abrafaxe!
Their adventures are published weekly in the “Berliner Kurier” and in the “SUPER-Illu” magazine.
“Kleine Detektive – Die Abrafaxe auf heißer Spur”(“Little Detectives – The Abrafaxe keep track”) is released.
Furthermore there is an interesting new book for fans:
In “Next Generation” the current MOSAIKians are introduced.
“Mach’s noch einmal, Robin!”(“Do it again, Robin!”) the new off-series book appears in the Schweriner Volkszeitung before being officially published in autumn.

| Big events cast their shadows!
The Abrafaxe Animation WG is found. The two-minute "pilot-spot" for the first Abrafaxe movie is produced, it is more of an attempt for a production named "The Abrafaxe and Count Hetzel" and has been introduced to the public by the 3Sat channel.

|
|
|
|
| The 500th MOSAIK issue is released in july.
A new irregular published series comes to live in a modern art style. It is simply called "DIE ABRAFAXE"("The Abrafaxe").
|

|
|
|
|
|
| The “year of the book’s” clou is, that the children’s criminal novel “Der Fluch des Skarabäus” (“ the scarabeaus’ curse”), in which the Abrafaxe solve a difficult case in the England of the late 19th century,
was written by the, through TV wellknown, Tatort– superintendent Palü alias Jochen Senf teamed up with Peter Tiefenbrunner.
Since this year the Abrafaxe and petite adventures with them can be found in the ZACK-magazine, which is published be the Steinchen für Steinchen editorial department as well.

| Since the Abrafaxe have been travelling through world history for a quarter of a century by now, there has been a huge anniversary party at the Filmpark Babelsberg.
|

| High tide me 'earties, finally! The first Abrafaxe movie sets sails into theatres in september beneath the jolly roger and known by the title "Die Abrafaxe- Unter schwarzer Flagge". ( "The Abrafaxe- under the black flag")

| The DVD of the Abrafaxe Movie hits stores in April 2002.
For years the MOSAIK had its representatives on the Frankfurter Book Fair as well as on the International Children's Book Fair in Bologna. Negotiations for print-rights of foreign editorships are often held on those fairs.
The MOSAIK magazine now is published monthly in Hungary, Greece and Korea. Just as many of the other Abrafaxe publications such as the albums and shortstories are also being released for the Czech Republic, Greece, Hungary, Turkey, Indonesia, Korea, Russia and China.
In 2002's November issue the sails are set for the new Nippon Adventure. The America Arc ended with issue number 322.
Japan's first issue is presented to the press on October the 9th 2002 together with the japanese consul general on the Frankfurter Book Fair.

| From january 2003 on the MOSAIK will be published in two week intervals in Vietnam.
